KUDOS TO KVIA ONCE AGAIN!!!! They reported on KVIA @ 10 on Friday, Oct. 12, 2007 that Sylvia P. Atkinson got a speeding ticket on a school zone by the El Dorado High School area!!! I say more bad publicty for Sylvia the better!! Of course, no on-camera interview only a statement from her with an apology! WHATEVER.... EL PASO, TX. - Socorro Independent School District's Superintendent gets ticketed for speeding in a school zone!
ABC-7's I-team dug up her court documents that say police stopped Dr. Sylvia Atkinson on Edgemere, near El Dorado High School, back on September 17th.
Authorities say she was doing 38 mph in a 20 mph school zone. Atkinson gave ABC-7 a statement.
"Although this area has posted 35 mile-an-hour signs and did not have any lights flashing, I acknowledge and take full responsibility for this infraction. Regardless of the posted speed or whether or not lights are flashing, we should all take extra care when passing through areas near our schools," Atkinson wrote.
Atkinson ends her statement with an apology. The ticket fine cost her $315 dollars.

What was Aktinsons excuse?
Atkinson and her crew actually had the nerve to put a lady on the podium to tell a story about the "real" reason Atkinson was "hurrying" that day that she got the ticket in the school zone. Supposedly it began when a "poor" lady (the sister of the lady speaking) went to Dr A because she couldn't afford to buy uniforms for her children. Atkinson wrote her a personal check to help in the cost, and gave her a business card with her personal cell # on it. Then on the infamous day that DR A became a Nascar driver, the lady had need of her help. She called Dr A and she "rushed" over to help her out. That is why she was speeding in a school zone! (Oh Please!)
They are never going to get the point of our plight. That this has nothing to do with the bond, and everything to do with Atkinson!
If the board were to agree to get rid of her, we would all gladly vote yes for the bond. No one can argue that we are the fastest growing district in the area, or that we will need new schools in the very near future.

New Kids on the Block is my favourite band of 90s. They had so many hit songs! The ones I remember are 'Tonight', 'Baby, I Believe In You' and, of course their hit 'Step By Step'. These are real masterpieces, not fake like today! And it is awesome they have a tour in 2019! So I'm going to attend New Kids on the Block concert this year. Carrie Underwood is my favourite US singer. She is young, beautiful and charming woman in her 30s. Her voice takes me away from all problems of this world and I can enjoy my life and listen songs created by her mind. Now the singer is on a Cry Pretty 360 Tour started in May of 2019. Breaking Benjamin is my favourite rock-band of 90s. They had so many hits! The ones I remember are 'The Diary of Jane', 'Tourniquet' and their hit 'So Cold'. These are real masterpieces, not fake ones like today! And it is sooo good that they have a tour in 2019! So I'm going to attend their concert in 2020. Florida Georgia Line is my favourite country music band. Headliners Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard are those people that could make anyone sing along with them.
