Pace is next, they are undefeated and supposed to be a really, reall good team. If we win though we may still have a chance at co-champs or even district. So now we know, WE HAVE SOMETHING TO FIGHT FOR. We may have lost but if you were to see us before and then see us now you can tell, WERE NOT PLAYING ANYMORE!

Hey nj37,
Remember you are on the same team with every player you named that made a mistake on the offense. Form tackle kid! Look it up and help your teammates do the same. Ford's games over the years have gotten us used to last minute comebacks. It doesn't always work that way and it hasn't always for Coach Ford either. Bottom line, SB's kids wanted it more and played like it. The kids on this team will overcome this and play like it next week and in the years to come.
Remember your earlier post:
This Thursday we are playing a so and so game. San Benito is not really a good team but not bad either. They lost to harlingen 42-7 and we beat harlingen so I guess if we dont mess up and dont take this game for granted well win and be still undefeated 6-0.

Yah hes our best reciever its just that coach picks his favorites and his favorite is Adrian. Which most of the time drops all the balls that are thrown at him. Hes really fast so we put him on kick return.

the fresh should still be unbeaten if it wasnt for shooting themselvs in the foot countless times. theyve been in the redzone too many times and qb jusst lobbs a pass up or forces a pass.. when life gives you lemons make lemonade ...... in other words give it too #22 let him run it and throw it too #6 an let him catch it on def there solid i think thats the second time where a team has but up 20 on them only reason y they were on the feild the entire game

Today we are playing at sams stadium. Its a miracle because freshman and jv players are not allowed to play on turf but against pace we are. we are 5-1 they are 6-0 and as of tommorow they will be 6-1 and we will be 6-1. We are not messing up today. We play at 5:00 p.m. and there probably going to be charging for admission. If you guys can try and make it to our game we promise we won't let you guys down its gonna be a good game cause we have everthing to gain and nothing to loose anymore.

Another game another loss. The Freshman team is going down hill after losing to san benito. I think either we loss our confidence and trust in one another or just plain out mistakes. We are not playing like the team that beat the two hardest schools Harlingen and PSJA. We need to pick up ourselves off the floor and get back into this, another thing thats probably the problem and our coach pointed it out to us is that we don't have a leader on our team a person that leads by example and gets all those slackers to come to practice and stop messing around. Someone to set the tone for this team. But so far no one has stood up and tooken the role of leader of the team. Well we lost to Pace 2-18 offense was playing sloppy and defense was doing there usual outstanding job. I think offense really needs to step it up Jackob(QB) needs to take control of the offense and not make those red zone mistakes. i mean Jacob has got an awsome arm accuarcy and strength he just needs to calm down and make the right decisions not to mention read the deffense also. That may be alot of things to do and it may sound really hard and seriously it is cause I know how jacob feels right know i mean cause i was the quarterback for resaca last year and its so much presure on you to make that one perfect pass and woooo that adrenalin kicks in and all of a sudden you completely change but hey thats the role of being the quarterback.

It might have also to do with Aaron being moved up to the JV team.
Wasn't Aaron a big part of the Offense when he was on the FR team?
Have both losses been after Aaron left?

If you're the only one that recognizes that there is a lack of leadership then it's my opinion that you should be the one that steps up.
First of all stop posting the negatives on Jacob's performance and post the positives. He needs your support right now. If you are a defensive player and he throws a pick, pat him on the helmet and tell him not to get comfortable and that he's gonna get the ball right back.
When the D gives up 6 let everyone know the game is still going on. Push your team. You live as a team and you die as a team.
Get yall's act together and come your Varsity year you guys are gonna be BEASTS! Keep up the good work and don't let a couple losses get you down.

Once again, Newbler goes in for six. The kids need to quit whining and do it. I posted a similar message to another kid regarding posting negatives about his team mates. I'm sure Dan Marino still thinks in his heart of hearts about a few decisions he made. I've never heard him complain about the passes that weren't caught to win against the 49's. He's also never complained about his defense. Class baby, class.
Leave it on the field. All of it.

Hey Newbler,
Can I borrow one of your stars? Mine's kind of dinky looking. An autographed baby picture would be good.

BTW, I'm not trying to come down on the kid. All I am saying is if there is gonna be any needless finger pointing going on around here it'll be me doing it.

When you point a finger, there are several pointing back at you.
Not Newbler, of course, but the kid.

Im not trying to put jacob down if thats what you guys think hes one of my best friends and its like I said hes carrying a full load on his shoulders now that aarons gone. um to the administrator well when Aaron left to JV we won the first two games but narrowly first 13-8 and then 7-0 and then lost the last two games. We still have three more to go and if we win those we'll still have a hell of a season 8-2 not the standard disrtict champs that freshman have been doing the last 3 years but hey still a pertty d**n good season.

I dont know if you guys know or not but this happened about a week or two ago. The 8th grade quarterback from liberty memorial (Troy Vasquez) got tackled when they played resaca middle school and broke his back. Luckily hes not paralyzed but sadly hell never play football again. Man but I know if you were to ever see one of his games. WOW! He was a pertty darn good quarterback. This kid would of been an awsome stanout. I just posted this cause he is my good friend that went to liberty with me.

LMSplayer,
Very unfortunate about that kid. Freaky stuff happens. Injuries are part of the game but it still really is sad when they happen. Reports I've heard is that he is very well on his recovery. Our prayers are with him, his family, and Liberty.
There is a life after football. Tough at his age but it is still true.
Does anyone know if there are ways we can help the family? The boy is a warrior and he will be ok. I believe that. He wouldn't have chosen to put himself in harms way if he was not.

Freshman had an awesome game. Came away with a 28-3 victory. Not sure about the exact score. No one was running the scoreboard and my pencil wasn't working. Bunch of good kids there. I won't brag about the one I thought was the best.

Didn't catch the final score for the freshman.
I did make it to the JV game.
The final was 28-7, I think.
It's sad to see the Porter JV team with a total of 15 players.
Let's take that win and move on.

Like most B'town teams, they are demoralized. Who's the AD, again? Very sad. Very sad. I'd move if I was from there and had a kid that actually cared about playing men's sports. Hope that doesn't offend anyone.
Well, may be not. Brownsville should be up in arms. They should be dominating any non round ball sport.
